Sabała Hotel was built in 1984 by highlander farmer Jan Gąsienica-Staszeczek and called after his name - the Staszeczkówka. About 100 years ago this hotel started to host first guests. In this time it was third hotel in the town, now it is one of the oldest hotel in Zakopane.

Many famous people - politicians and artists from all over the world stayed here, for example: poet Kazimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer, actress Helena Modrzejewska, play writer and painter Witkacy and popular highlander musician, mountain guide and story-teller Jan Krzeptowski Sabała, after who's name Hotel was called.

    Hotel was used as a hostel during the war and the first owners regained their property in the '70 of 20th century. Then they gradually had been giving to the residence its former splendor.

    Finally in 1996 Hotel was carefully restored with special attention to its original interiors.
